FAQs
Thoughtful gifting shouldn’t feel complicated. Whether you’re shopping for a new mom, a mom-to-be, a growing family, or yourself, we’re here to help you find support that actually fits the moment.
Choosing the Right Gift
What is a good gift for a new mom after she has a baby?
The best postpartum gifts care for her, not just the baby. Think practical support, something nourishing, a little comfort, and a reminder that she matters too.
Bloom & Rise boxes are curated by perinatal mental health therapists with exactly that in mind. Our boxes combine thoughtful products with therapist-created resources designed to support moms through postpartum and early motherhood.
Which Bloom & Rise box should I choose?
It depends on the season you’re shopping for:
- Bloom Postpartum Box: for a new mom during the postpartum period, with the focus on caring for her.
- Rise Mom + Baby Box: for both mom and baby during baby’s first year.
- Birth Box: for support, comfort, and recovery surrounding birth.
- Bloom Anytime Mom Box: for a mom who could use some care at any stage of motherhood.
- Rise Mom & Toddler Box: for moms navigating life with a growing toddler.
- Sibling Box: for helping an older child feel included and celebrated when a new baby joins the family.
- Pregnancy Loss Box: thoughtfully created to offer comfort and care after pregnancy loss.
- Build Your Own Box: for when you want to choose the gifts yourself.
Still not sure? Our Find Her Perfect Box quiz can help point you in the right direction.
What can I send a new mom that is actually for her, not just the baby?
This is exactly why Bloom & Rise exists.
Babies tend to receive plenty of adorable gifts. Moms are often left with a well-meaning “let me know if you need anything.”
Our Bloom boxes focus specifically on mom, while our Rise boxes intentionally include care for both mom and child. Either way, mom is never an afterthought.
Is a Bloom & Rise box a good baby shower gift?
Absolutely. The Rise Mom + Baby Box is especially popular for baby showers because it includes thoughtful support for mom alongside developmentally appropriate items for baby.
If you’d rather give something focused entirely on the person having the baby, a Bloom Postpartum Box or Birth Box also makes a meaningful alternative to a traditional baby gift.
Can I buy a Bloom and Rise Box for myself?
Please do.
You don’t need to wait for someone else to decide you deserve care. Our boxes can be purchased as gifts or as something thoughtful for yourself during pregnancy, postpartum, or any season of motherhood.
About Our Boxes
What makes Bloom & Rise different from other new mom gift boxes?
Bloom & Rise was created by perinatal mental health therapists who work with moms, babies, children, and families.
We choose products with a purpose: to support mom, encourage small moments of care, nurture early connection, and — when baby or child items are included — consider development too.
Our boxes also include therapist-created resources, so the support goes beyond the products inside.
What does “therapist-curated” actually mean?
It means our boxes aren’t built around whatever happens to be trendy.
We use our professional experience in perinatal, infant, and early childhood mental health to think about what moms and families may actually need during each stage — emotionally, practically, and developmentally.
Then we research, test, and select products that fit that purpose.
How do you choose the products that go into each box?
We look for products that are useful, high quality, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable to receive.
Depending on the box, that may include items supporting nourishment, self-care, recovery, relaxation, connection, fun for mom, or child development.
We also love supporting women-owned businesses and prioritize thoughtful, responsibly made products whenever possible.
Does every Bloom & Rise box have the same products?
No. Our boxes are curated around different stages and needs, so the contents vary.
A postpartum box looks different from a mom-and-baby box, and a box created for toddlerhood looks different from one designed for the newborn months. Even within our Rise Mom + Baby Box, baby items are selected with the baby’s developmental stage in mind.
Does the Rise Mom + Baby Box change based on the baby's age?
Yes. Babies change enormously during the first year, so their gifts should too.
The Rise Mom + Baby Box is available for 0–3 months, 3–6 months, 6–9 months, and 9–12 months, with baby items chosen to fit that stage of development.
And mom still gets gifts of her own in every box.
Do Bloom & Rise boxes include mental health resources?
Yes. Our boxes include resources created by perinatal, infant, and early childhood mental health professionals.
Depending on the box and stage, these may focus on topics such as emotional wellbeing, connection, development, adjusting to parenthood, or making the most of the products included in the box.
Are Bloom & Rise boxes a substitute for therapy or medical care?
No. Bloom & Rise boxes and resources are designed to provide education, encouragement, and support, but they are not medical or mental health treatment.
If you or someone you love is struggling during pregnancy or postpartum, we always encourage reaching out to an appropriate healthcare or mental health professional for individualized support.
Gifting & Customization
Can I send a Bloom & Rise box directly to someone as a gift?
Yes. Simply enter the recipient’s shipping address during checkout and we can send the box directly to them.
Can I create my own postpartum or new mom gift box?
Yes! Our Build Your Own Box option lets you choose the products that feel right for the person you’re shopping for, and we’ll package them together as a thoughtful Bloom & Rise gift.
It’s a great option when you know exactly what she loves — or when you want to create something a little more personal.
What if I don't know exactly which box she needs?
You do not have to get it perfect.
Think about where she is right now: expecting, newly postpartum, caring for a baby, navigating toddlerhood, welcoming another child, or simply needing someone to remember her.
You can also take our Find Her Perfect Box quiz or reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help.
Subscriptions
Does Bloom & Rise offer a new mom and baby subscription box?
Yes. The Rise Mom + Baby Box can be purchased once or as a subscription.
With our subscription option, mom and baby receive four different boxes over one year, delivered every three months, with each box evolving along with baby’s age and developmental stage.
How does the Rise Mom + Baby subscription work?
You can choose annual or quarterly billing. Boxes are delivered every three months for a total of four boxes during the year.
Each shipment is newly curated so the baby items fit the child’s changing developmental stage while mom continues to receive products and resources selected with her in mind.
Can I cancel or pause a Bloom & Rise subscription?
Quarterly subscriptions can be canceled up to one month before the next billing date by contacting us.
Annual subscriptions cannot be canceled after purchase, but subscribers may skip one shipment. You’ll still receive all four boxes included in an annual subscription.
For complete details, please see our Subscription Policy or contact us at contact@bloom-and-rise.com.

Pregnancy Loss Support
What can I send someone who has experienced a miscarriage or pregnancy loss?
When someone is grieving a pregnancy loss, it can be difficult to know what to say or send.
Our Pregnancy Loss Box was created specifically for this experience, with thoughtful comfort and care for the person grieving — without baby-focused gifts or messaging that may not fit the moment.
Sometimes there isn’t a perfect thing to say. A tangible reminder that someone is thinking of them can still mean a great deal.
